Getting a Woman’s Phone Number

By Dan Powers Today Im going to talk about why a woman will gladly give you her phone number, but then choose not to meet up with you or even answer your calls. As we all know, the purpose of getting a woman’s phone number is to enable contact at a later time to possibly take things further. Sounds good in theory. However in practice, things can sometimes go quite differently. Im sure many of you have obtained a womans phone number only to dial it and hear something like: This phone has been disconnected. Sorry mate, wrong number… Infuriating isnt it? Or, when you call and get a lukewarm response from her: Maybe some other time…Ive been real busy lately. What is going on when this happens? To understand it a little better, lets look at some of the events prior to obtaining a womans phone number. For the purpose of this explanation, stop and imagine that youre an attractive woman. Dont worry, you can go back to being a man in a minute! Okay, so youre an attractive woman standing at a bar and a guy walks up and chatting to you. He asks what you do for a job, then replies with his profession. You spend the next 10 minutes hearing about his current and past employment. Its a boring run-of-the-mill conversation and youre in the mood to have some fun, so you tell him that you have to go the bathroom. When you come back, another guy walks up and starts chatting to you. Within seconds youre both laughing and having a great time. Its a two-sided conversation. He flirts with you and is actually listening to what youre saying. While laughing and sharing of stories of your travels with him, you end up reliving the emotions you felt overseas all those years ago. You finish feeling like you have made a connection with him. Okay, you can stop being an attractive woman now. Which guy would the woman most likely want to see again? Youre right. The second one. Now, this is where most guys go wrong, so pay attention: A lot of guys will spend the whole time talking about themselves, laughing at their own jokes and exchanging boring information such as: Age, occupation, location. They will then ask the woman for her number. From a WOMANS PERSPECTIVE, this makes little sense. You know NOTHING about her so she will naturally conclude that its only her LOOKS that youre interested in or that you’re desperate and have no standards. Alternatively, when you: a) Spark the attraction. b) Have a two-sided conversation. c) Flirt and create sexual tension. d) GENUINELY get to know her. e) Qualify her to your standards. It will demonstrate that there are REASONS other than her appearance that you have asked for her number. When you call, she will know that there are genuine reasons WHY youd want to meet up. Makes sense. So what do I mean by Qualify her to your standards? Essentially, it means that you have found out details about her and her life. You now possibly know: - If shes funny. - If shes intelligent. - If shes fun to be around. - What she values in life. - If shes a good cook. - What suburb she lives in. - Where she has travelled too. - What she does for fun in her spare time. - If shes interesting and worth getting to know better. - Starting to get the picture? Great. Here are some general guidelines for getting a womans phone number to follow-up on it later: 1) Listen. 2) Remember that its a conversation, not an interrogation. Keep things flowing by making statements/talking from your perspective as well as asking questions. 3) Get to know her. 4) Keep it genuine. 5) Be playful. Follow these guidelines and your success with following up on phone numbers will improve significantly. Cheers Ben The Modern Man is a company that teaches men how to meet, attract and date women. Peter Walks on Water, Jesus Feeds 5000 People - Matthew 14:8-33

By Matthew Robert Payne There was heavy dew on the ground and a mist had settled and we were just up chatting when the messengers came to the door and knocked. Andrew got up and opened the door and two of Johns followers came in with a sad and grave look. We all sat down and they told us that John had just been beheaded and was dead and then they began to weep and ask the Rabbi what were they to do. The whole group of us was sad and the Rabbi was trying to re-assure them that all would be fine when his emotions spilled over and he began to weep too. The ladies of the house silently withdrew to another room and all that could be heard were cries and sobbing. In all of my life, and all my time with the Rabbi, I had never seen him weep like he did; loud sobs and all of us simply could not but cry when we saw him so upset. I was weeping and listening at the same time to the Rabbi. John got up and stood behind the Rabbi and put his arms around him from his back and started to hold him and comfort him, but this only made the Rabbi weep more. He was broken that day. We were used to seeing him get sad and upset from time to time, but the sound of our precious teacher sobbing so uncontrollably was just too much for any of the strong men in the room not to be caught up in the crying. How could a leader kill His cousin like that. What was John the Baptist doing so bad that deserved death? Surely this was a warning that we should not preach repentance and be as forthright as that prophet. After fifteen minutes Jesus slowed in His crying and was soon using the hem of His garment to wipe His eyes. I need to go and spend time with my Father. Let us withdraw and spend time before Him. Within twenty minutes we were in a boat and rowing across the lake. Half way across, Jesus started to weep again, once again loud sobs. It tugged at my heart so much. We depended on Jesus and it seemed that this was something a lot bigger then He could handle and it made us row harder and on that journey there was not one dry eye. We landed the boat and suddenly a crowd gathered and the sick were coming to Jesus and begging him to heal. His eyes were red and he was a broken man and we began to try and explain to the people that Jesus needed some time off today and as we began Jesus told us it was okay and He began to lay hands on the sick and began to heal them. The first in line that day was a blind man and as Jesus spoke to the blindness and rebuked it and opened his eyes He told the man that he was going to be a preacher and a healer and that he should follow Him from this day on. The second person was a young girl on a bed and she seemed about twelve. Jesus raised her to her feet and told her that she was to be a dancer and asked her to dance for Him. She beamed with joy and began to dance before Him with glee and I saw a broad smile light my Teachers face. He began to dance with the girl and prophesied that her dancing would one day be used to bring His power to meetings and others would find faith in her testimony to be healed themselves. After He healed her He called John, Andrew and me to join Him and He made signs to the people to form four lines, one line for each of us. I was filled with uneasiness when the first person stepped up to me and as I laid hands on the old man with a withered hand Jesus winked at me and the withered hand was healed and my first person was dancing with joy with the young girl. Half an hour into the healing of the people that day, Jesus eyes filled with tears again and he cried as he laid hands on people and set them free of their infirmities. There is something really touching seeing your Rabbi weep and still heal as He is crying. Inside of me I wanted to know why He was weeping, was it Johns death or was it something bigger then that. It took over an hour that day. There were five thousand men, their wives and children as well as single women. I saw some really fine healings done that day. The power that was coming through my hands was amazing. Jesus broke down at one point and the people just stood and watched Him with compassion in their eyes. It was a solemn day. The people were moved to tears as were us disciples and Jesus took a full ten minutes to gather himself together again before we began again. After everyone was healed and the poor had been given some money from our resources, Jesus sat down and delivered one of His finest teachings I ever heard Him share. He spoke of love and how love can set a nation alight and how love can heal and how important it is for us to use love to bring people to inner healing. He then told us all that John was much loved by Him and that if you do a good enough job loving people and God, evil men may kill you. He called twenty people by name that day and had them approach Him and he prophesied over them in front of all the people. He gave them to power to heal and told them that one day they would serve Him one day with us twelve. He told them that they would know the day to join His disciples but in the meantime they should heal all the sick they know and spread the love He had shared that day. As He spoke more and more people joined the crowd and after He had commissioned the twenty men, He asked the sick that had joined the crowd in the last two hours to come forward. We watched with glee as the twenty men laid hands on the sick and they were healed. The twenty men were so excited with their new power and Jesus then told the crowd that this was the power of love. It was the perfect illustration and there were deaf and dumb and cripples among the healings and the faith in the crowd had really grown on that day. The time came when Jesus blessed the five loaves and the two fish and we distributed it to the crowd. This was a mighty sign and as I walked around with my basket it was continuing to multiply as I gave the food away. Trying to come to grips with this miracle was just too much for me. The people were glad for the food and eager to hear Jesus speak more when they were all fed but Jesus had them go. Then He sent us away and we left in the boat and watched Him walk up the hill. It was the fourth watch of the night when Andrew saw something on the water. We froze with fear thinking we were seeing a ghost when Jesus told it was Him from about twenty feet away. I asked Him if I could also walk on water as faith sparked in me. It had been an awesome day. Jesus agreed and said, Come. I was thrilled to bits as I stepped onto the water and it held me up. I was walking toward Him and I was filled with such joy as I watched my Rabbi smile at me. Within six feet I took my eyes of the Master to look at how my feet were doing what I was doing. As I watched the impossible, fear gripped me and I lost my faith in what my eyes were seeing and I sank. Immediately, I looked to Jesus and cried out to Him. He shot across the water about fifteen feet in a second and pulled me back to the surface. He stood there for a second and held me looking at me and smiled and then gave me a hug. We stood on top of the water and He whispered in my ears. I am not always going to be with you Peter, you need to trust in Me and heal all the sick in this land and the lands beyond. You have to share my love and my Gospel. I am proud of all you did today especially this great sign you did today. People will be speaking of this sign years and few men will ever do this in the history of the world. Now be silent of this and let us walk back to the boat. I am going to hold your hand and we are going to go back now. He pulled away from me and we walked back to the boat to the applause of the other disciples. Jesus was no ordinary man. He is no ordinary man. He is the Son of God and He is mighty and powerful and yet He is the servant of all men. There is no man in the Universe with more power or authority as Jesus. He is exalted in heaven with the name above all names, and yet He is the lowest and the most humble and He still weeps over every person that dies without knowing Him. On this, His saddest day, when His prophet and cousin died He told me that He was crying for a number of reasons. He was crying that He couldnt personally hug and heal everyone in Israel and He couldnt set the country free and He was crying because there were so many people hungry for the Word of God and so few people with the message for them. Wont you send this article to your Christian friends? Wont you send this to your friends that dont know Jesus? Everyone knows that Jesus was supposed to have healed all those people and fed the five thousand. Yet few people know that it was on His weakest and saddest day. The Holy Spirit really does use us in our weaknesses and when we are weak we are strong as the Apostle Paul wrote. May you be blessed. I have some other stories to tell you in the future. Creating Your Children’s Birthday Scrapbook

By Audrey Okaneko I remember when my kids were young, I loved their birthday parties and wanted to capture every moment. Often though, it wasnt until after the party was over that I realized I only took a few photos and that I didnt save any of the extra invitations. Knowing in advance that youll want to make a scrapbook of your childs party, you can save items such as the guest list, the invitations and any greeting cards the child gets in the mail. All of these can be added to the scrapbook. Consider taking a photo of each guest as they arrive. This photo can be with or without your own birthday child. If you are not using a digital camera, consider having 3 sets of photos printed. Set one is for the scrapbook you are making of the party. Set two is to send to each guests parents, and set three is to put away for when your child is older and wants their own set of photos of their first 20 years of life. When its time to open presents, in addition to taking photos, save the cards that come with the gifts. These make wonderful additions the scrapbook. Often, at younger ages, children make their own cards, and they are truly too precious to throw out. Add them to your birthday scrapbook. If youve ordered a cake, or even if youve baked a cake, take a photo before the candles are added. If youve used a family recipe to bake the cake, make a copy of the recipe to include in the scrapbook alongside the picture of the cake. Does the party have a theme? If you are purchasing stickers to give away in goodie bags, purchase an additional set of stickers (of course acid free and lignin free) to add to your scrapbook pages. If the childs grandparents are at the party, make sure to take photos of the child with the grandparents. This is true for other relatives that are there also. Mini albums for relatives who do or do not attend make wonderful gifts. I love when I get photos of my niece. Its so neat to keep up with her parties and other activities through photos. With the above suggestions, youll create a lasting memory for both you and your child. Audrey Okaneko has been scrapbooking for several years. Praise and Worship, So What is True Worship that God Wants, Read this from Matthew 4:10

By Matthew Robert Payne Matthew 4:10 (NKJ V) 10Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you,] Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.” The Lord Jesus was not easily fooled by Satan in the wilderness. When he was tempted he overcame Satan by quoting scriptures to him and telling him to go eventually. Do we as people who know God only serve God? Do we in the way we live, live to worship God? Is the way we live our lives honouring to God in heaven? Are we people who serve God and worship God rather than people who worship the created things of this world? 1 John 2:15-17 (NKJV) 15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world. 17And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. When we really consider our lives are we more concerned with what we have in this life in possessions and what people think of us and what we look like to others than the things of God? It is so hard to live in this world and not be taken over by the lusts of this world. It is hard to live in Christ and watch Television. So much of what Television promotes is the opposite of what Jesus would have us have and do. We as people like to have a modern house and a modern car and all the modern things like computers and the internet and DVDs and the like and yes the Lord would allow us to have them, but consider this. What if $2000 could be spent producing 50,000 Gospels of John for another country? Would spending $30,000 on a car be hard for you when the same amount could but 750,000 Gospels? You may look at me and say, Oh Matthew that isnt fair! Isnt it? Why do you want an expensive car? Why do you want the best of houses? In what way is getting the very best of what this world has to offer serving God? And how about worshipping God? Is this something you do on Sunday? Is it okay to go to church on Sunday and hold your arms up to the Lord in worship when the same arms deny a homeless person on the street as you walk home each day? Serving the Lord is more than going to church on Sunday and to a home group on a week night. Surely serving the Lord is more than lip service. When the Lord God speaks about a fast that is honourable to Him in Isaiah it includes more than a few prayers and regular attendance at church. Isaiah 58 (New King James Version) 1 “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins. 2Yet they seek Me daily, And delight to know My ways, As a nation that did righteousness, And did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God. 3″Why have we fasted,’ they say, “and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’ “In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers. 4Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, To make your voice heard on high. 5Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the LORD? 6″Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. 9Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, “Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. 13″If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, 14Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken.” The Lord God does not hold back when He talks about what will please Him. Jesus also did not hold back when He taught. In the parable of the sheep and the goats Jesus says something similar to what His Father has said here. Can you feed the hungry and take in the person who has nowhere to stay? Would a person who is living on the streets enjoy a meal at your place and to watch a DVD in your machine and a fresh change of clothes? Do we really serve the Lord how he wants us to serve him? Do we really love Him with all out heart? Do we love our neighbour with all out heart or do we conveniently excuse ourselves when it comes to those less fortunate than ourselves? Is worship something we do in church or is it the way we live our lives? Is obedience a way of worshiping God? I think so. I would rather obey my Lord and be happy that He sees my obedience than be the best singer in church. To serve the Lord is an honor. How would the world look if every hungry person was fed and every person without a house was given a place to stay and every thirsty person was given a drink and every drug-affected person was given hope for a life without drugs? What if people so served God that they were like the Good Samaritan? Luke 10:25-37 (NKJV) 25And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” 27So he answered and said, “”You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’[a] and “your neighbor as yourself.”‘[b] 28And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” 29But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35On the next day, when he departed,[c] he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, “Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” Are we really doing likewise? Do we see people who have been robbed of their dignity and self-esteem by the side of the road with stinky and dirty clothes and not give them a shower and a feed and a hand up like the Good Samaritan? Are we really doing likewise? Do we really love our neighbours and in doing so serving God? James has this to say about loving the poor: James 2:1-17 (NKJ V) 1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. 2For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? 5Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? 8If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,”also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. 14What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. We need to serve God in honesty and without partiality. We need to treat all people as equals and love each person as though they are worthy to be loved as out own family. When we walk with God in this way and we are kind to those in need then the Lord Jesus will be happy with us. Cars, houses and other possessions are not what profits in the eternal Kingdom. It is lives saved and people who are lost finding God that is important. Carrying with you a Gospel of John would be profitable for the next person that comes and asks you for money. Perhaps you can give them a gold coin and the Gospel. Are you willing to serve God? Can you make someones life a better life? Do you have something that you could share with another that hasnt got all they need? Have you time to share with someone who might need to share some things on their mind? Do you have abilities that you could share with the building of Gods Kingdom on earth? Have you a story where God has touched you and done something amazing that you could share with others maybe on an internet site? Are there people you know that need to know Jesus that you can pray for? Are there needs in your community that you could perhaps get involved with? Are you gifted in some way but dont know how to use that gift? Are you frustrated that God isnt using you? Do you want to serve God more and dont know how to go about it? Perhaps you could write and I may have ideas. Closing prayer: Lord teach me thy ways. Show me what is acceptable to you and lead me into the way of obedience to you. Lord lead me away from the lusts of this world and to know how to serve you better. Teach me not to be a judge of those less fortunate than me and show me how to show mercy to others. Lord help me to be a friend in need and help me to see the needs of others that I may so easily be overlooking in my life. God I ask that you may bring people into my life that I can help with what little I have and that you may give me the opportunity to show your love and concern for them. Lead me into the way everlasting and refresh me each day with your Word. Instil in me the love you have for people so that I may love you in action and deed and so my faith might not be dead or in vain but so people will honor you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Networking Events - Lose the Fear and Gain the Benefits

By Kevin Eikenberry Kevin, are you saying I need to go to Networking events? I hope not because I hate them. No, of course you dont have to go to them. You could stay home or sit in your office. But if you choose to not go, you wont have the chance to learn something, to help others, to get new ideas, maybe generate some new Clients, and yes, meet new people. But Kevin, I dont do well at these events, I am too self conscious and besides, you know I am shy. It is true, some people arent as outgoing as others, but I highly doubt that anyone reading this is a hermit. We all like to be around people. As for the self conscious part, well, that is what the rest of this article is about. Read on. I hear all sorts of excuses for not going to networking events: I already know all those people. I have other things to do anyway. Everyone there is in a clique I wont have anyone to talk to. I hate those things. I get scared. I dont know what to wear. I dont know what to say or talk about. Thats right they are excuses, or they are based on misinformation about what networking is or can be. You will have the most fun and gain the most from networking opportunities when you stop worrying about yourself, what you are going to say and what you are going to wear. (Heres a hint, no one really cares what you are wearing, as long as your clothes dont stand out as too casual or too flashy get dressed and get over it.) Networking is about forming relationships and forming relationships works best when you remember Dale Carnegies admonition, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” Rephrased by Kevin for networking success be interested, not interesting. Once you understand that networking events are about meeting and learning about others and their interests and activities, rather than trying to perform (or remember our ever- important 30 second statement of what we do), many of the excuses above go away. Be interested ask questions about peoples business, how they got involved, what sets them apart, what they love about it. Ask about their perfect Client, their interests and their family. As you listen see what connections you can make for them to help them reach their goals. By being interested we lessen the fear concerns. By being interested we become less self conscious. By being interested we form relationships. Being interested means remaining interested and following up with people afterwards. If you promised to get them someones phone number, the name of that book you are reading, or introduce them to someone, do it right away. You will be seen as a person of your word, but you will reinforce your interest in the other person. While it may sound paradoxical, by being interested in others, they become more interested in our success and us as well. You will have created a double win you will gain from the networking experience as much or more than you gave, all because you gave first. It all starts with being interested. Invest in your success by investing first in others. Try it soon go to that networking event or cocktail party or social mixer on your calendar. Try my simple rule as a test, even if you arent completely convinced yet. Ill be interested to hear your results! p.s. Relationship Advice: 9 More Must-Know Tips for Couples

By Jeff Herring The Law of Two Questions There are two questions that couples must ask and answer: 1) What do I want? 2) How do I help you get what you want? The Law of Conflict, Part 1 Much conflict is the result of failing to ask both of the above questions and/or an overemphasis on either one of the two. The Law of Conflict, Part 2 Conflict is an inevitable part of being with someone. One problem is that most of us go into marriage so terribly unprepared to handle the conflicts that inevitably arise. The Law of Fighting Conflict is inevitable, but fighting is not. It’s always a choice. The choice involves deciding that being right or getting your way is more important than the relationship. The Law of Driving Here’s a law that could improve, if not save many marriages. Please don’t drive when you’re not driving! The Law of Debt Since 60 percent of divorces can be traced back to financial struggles, a large part of those struggles have to do with debt. Let’s put it this way: Debt sucks the life, energy and love out of many relationships. The Law of Skill A large part of being in a successful relationship involves developing couple skills. So many of us just show up and think that’s enough for a successful relationship. The Law of Teamwork Most people bring different sets of strengths and weaknesses to a relationship. These can either complement or conflict. The Law of the Right Person So often, people wonder if they are married to the right person. That just might be the wrong question. Wilbert Donald Gough said it well: ‘In marriage, being the right person is as important as finding the right person.’ For even more tips and strategies for a great relationship visit relationship coach Jeff Herring’s SecretsofGreatRelationships.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jeff_Herring http://EzineArticles.com/?Relationship-Advice:-9-More-Must-Know-Tips-for-Couples&id=56040 hoodia diet pill buy now tramadol buy a tramadol buy online prescription ultram without order tramadol ultram

Getting More Family Time Just by Having a Budget

By Shannon Miller Some families have budgets and some do not. Those families with budgets can better manage their money than those who do not. I would recommend any family with children to have a budget. Here are a few steps for planning a budget. 1. Get a list of all your bills that are due each month. Also get the dates that each bill is due on. It is always best to plan your budget by the month. 2. Organize those bills by the date that they are due on. Ex. Electric bill due on the 2nd, the phone bill due on the 7th, and the cable bill due on the 17th. And so on. 3. See how many pay days are in the month that you are planning for. Then figure how much money you will make on each pay day and times it by the number of pay days. Ex. 4 pay days times $500.00 per pay day equals $2000.00 4. Figure up how much your bills are all together. Divide that by the number of pay days that you have for that month. This will give you an idea of what you are going to have to pay each week. If there is going to be a week where you wont have to pay put that much take it out anyway and put it into your savings. That way if something comes up and I promise you one time or another something unexpected will come up. If you put money back when you have it extra you can be prepared for those unexpected moments without having to charge your credit cards. 5. Write down each pay day and the bills that you will be paying on that particular day. That way you will know exactly what will need to be paid and when. Place it where ever you pay your bills. Or if you dont have a specific place you do your bills place it on the refrigerator. 6. Stick to your budget no matter what. Do not stray from your budget. Each pay day have those bills made out and ready to send off. I know that it can be easy to think I will just pay this one next week, but once you get behind it is too hard to catch back up. So by all means stick to your budget. If you have a budget that works for you and your family you will have more money left over each month to do something special with your family. My family makes it a point to do something special each month as a family. If we did not have a budget we would not be able to do that special something together. There is nothing like spending time and getting to do something special with your family. Shannon Miller is the mom of 5 children. Why Is The Salad Brown? Confessions of a Former Neat Freak

By Lisa Pallardy When I rolled over in bed this morning and saw the bag of salad sitting on my night table next to me, I knew then that I had finally crossed the line. Im not sure exactly where the line was, or even what it looked like, because it was no doubt covered with wet towels, stray socks, and perhaps, even, my oven mitt. But a line had, indeed, been crossed. The change from neat-freak to the person I am today was slow and gradual. It snuck up on me, insidious, silent, like a bad smell that you somehow dont notice anymore because youve grown used to smelling it. In my former life, my best friend Diane called me Mrs. Applebee. Im not sure where she came up with that name, but to her it represented prim, proper, neat, and organized. Diane made fun of me because I picked up my living room nightly before going to bed. She found it amazing that I vaccumed most every day, and made my bed every morning. She laughed because I washed, dried, and put away all the dishes immediately after every meal. She was stunned that I folded all the laundry the instant the dryer buzzed, before it even had time to cool off, and then put everything away. In the drawers. I should have known I was getting close to the line when, a few weeks ago, I needed to bake a cake. Without giving it a second thought, I went straight to the kids bathroom toy tub and retrieved one of the beaters to my electric mixer. Another clue should have been when the pizza cutter went missing for several days. My teenage son was frantic (I NEED that utensil, mom!), so I told him to check under the couch cushions. When my teenage daughter needed to use the cutting board, I nonchalantly told her, Its in my bathtub, next to the box of sanitary pads that Luke (our 2 year old) dumped in there the other day. Last week my husband was complaining that I hadnt decorated the house yet for Halloween. Just look around, I told him. There are plenty of cobwebs, why do we need to spend money? Besides, most of the decorations require a clear, flat surface on which to be set. We dont own a clear flat surface. When I first became a stay-at-home mom, I was a pro. Of course, our two children were at school all day, and baby number three was on the way, so it was easy enough to keep up. Each day of the week was spent cleaning and organizing the house. The play room had bins where each toy was categorized and lovingly placed. The kitchen floor was always swept and mopped. The kitchen cabinets were organized. Most afternoons, fresh baked cookies were being taken from the oven, just as the bus pulled up to drop the kids off after school. Dinners were balancedmeat, fresh vegetables, fruit, milk. And after dinner, the dishes were all washed, dried, and put away. But then we had more children. And then more children. And now we have six. And then I had a great idea to start my own business from home. Soon, I noticed the walls of the house seemed to be closing in. Or maybe those arent the walls, but just the toys and shoes and books and Legos that find their homes around the perimeter of every room in my house. So, why was the salad sitting on my night table this morning? Because my 2 year old loves salad, and last evening he brought it into my bedroom (where I was working) and asked if he could have some. I told him no, took the salad from him, placed it on my night table (fully intending to put it away when he was otherwise occupied), and didnt give it another thought until bedtime. At that point, my husband told me hed put it away when he got up after the news to take the dog out. Apparently, either the dog didnt get taken out, or he just forgot about the salad.
